Rotary actuators
Rotary actuators generate torque through a cogwhell and a rack driven by two hydraulic cylinders.
This solution simplify the kinematic and ease maintenance.
Also available with magnetic piston for use with magnetic proximity sensors along the entire piston stroke.
Delivered after passing functional testing.

What are the main fields of application?
HR rotary actuators are ideal for rotary tables, assembly line and packaging manipulators, and robotic arms. Their compact design allows integration in confined spaces with high positioning accuracy. Typical applications include tool head rotation, angular positioning of tables or vices, safety door opening and closing, orientable clamping systems, industrial gate valves, conveyor belt diverting systems, and container tippers where reliability and ease of maintenance are essential. In the mould and press sector, they are used for undercut part extraction via core rotation, lateral opening of complex moulds, and actuation of rotating elements in fixtures requiring controlled rotary motion.
Why choose rotary actuators over other actuation systems?
Rotary actuators offer straightforward integration by eliminating external linkages and complex kinematic mechanisms. They generate high torque in a compact envelope and require less maintenance compared to gear motors or other actuation systems.
How can rotation be braked at end of stroke?
Conforti hydraulic rotary actuators are equipped with adjustable hydraulic brakes capable of generating a braking torque at end of stroke comparable to the maximum cylinder torque. This prevents end-of-stroke impacts and reduces stress on the kinematic mechanism.
How can the rotation end positions be precisely adjusted?
Conforti hydraulic rotary actuators are fitted with mechanical end-of-stroke adjusters with an adjustment range of ±5°. This allows precise setting of both extreme stroke positions and on-machine phasing directly at the installation site.
Which sensors can be used to continuously detect the actuator position?
MR series actuators are designed to accommodate magnetic sensors for piston position detection at specific points of rotation or continuously throughout the entire stroke. Our technical department will be able to recommend the most suitable sensors for your application.
What mounting accessories are available on request?
Actuators with 32 mm bore are fitted with an integrated drive shaft. A dedicated hub or keyway coupling can be supplied on request. For actuators with 40 mm and 63 mm bore, a DIN 5482 splined shaft is available on request.
I need a CAD model. How can I obtain it?
Through our online CAD configurator, complete 2D and 3D models of the rotary actuators can be downloaded along with all associated technical documentation. The system automatically manages all available special variants without configuration errors, enabling immediate integration into your projects.
Are spare parts readily available if needed?
Spare parts for all components of HR and MR rotary actuators are held in stock, with rapid support available for urgent situations. A 48-hour response capability allows critical situations such as machine downtime to be managed effectively.
Is it mandatory to connect the drain port to the tank?
Yes, connecting the drain port to the tank is mandatory to allow excess fluid to flow back. Failure to connect the drain port, or sealing it with a plug, prevents recovery of excess oil, which may accumulate inside the actuator over time.
